2009 Communicator of the YearIABC/Detroit Communicator of the Year Nomination Criteria Every year IABC/Detroit recognizes the outstanding contributions of one individual who is a stand-out in the field of communications with its most prestigious award - Communicator of the Year. Your help is needed to identify candidates for this distinguished award. You do not have to be a member of IABC to submit a nomination or to be nominated. Candidates are judged on their achievements in the following categories:
Excellence in professional achievements Because Communicator of the Year is the Detroit Chapter's highest recognition, it is a condition that the recipient accept the award in person at the IABC/Detroit Renaissance Awards banquet held in June 2009. Nominations should include the following information:
Name of Nominator Please e-mail your nomination material to rossl@dteenergy.com by no later than March 17, 2009. In the subject line note "COTY Nomination." In addition to the printed submission, each nominator will be scheduled for a 20-minute presentation to the Communicator of the Year Committee. All relevant career information that fits the above categories should be covered in the verbal presentation. PowerPoint presentations can be used if desired, but please note your AV requirements at the time your presentation is scheduled.
