Internal Communication Strategies That Impact the Bottom Line Feature of February 12 IABC/Detroit Luncheon

DETROIT, Feb. 3 -- In today's world of technology, employees are inundated with information and often find it difficult to wade through the communication clutter. The February 12 event, hosted by the Detroit chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Detroit), will discuss how communication strategies can help cut through the clutter and regain employees' attention. The event, held at GM University (located in the Renaissance Center) in Detroit, will be held from 11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Jim Burke, director of Internal Communications for General Motors' North American region, will share how GM's restructured communications program has engaged employees and achieved business objectives.

"Internal communication strategies can help establish a culture of communication within an organization," said Tom O'Connell, president of the IABC/Detroit chapter. "Jim brings an insider's perspective of how these strategies can impact the bottom line."

Tickets for the event are $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers. For more information or to register for the event, call Nancy Skidmore at 248-546-5490 or visit the IABC/Detroit Web site at www.iabcdetroit.com.
