IABC/Detroit Celebrates 25 years of Excellence!
2006 Renaissance Awards "Call for Entries" now open

DETROIT, Mich., February 8, 2006 Ð IABC/Detroit is celebrating the silver anniversary of the Renaissance Awards in 2006 and the "Call for Entries is now underway. You can become part of the excitement and distinguish yourself and the work of your team by submitting your best communication work.

Over the last 25 years, IABC/Detroit's Renaissance Awards competition has become the area's premier awards program, celebrating excellence in business communication. This year's program encompasses more than 30 categories, divided into six disciplines. Whether it's a multifaceted communications management program or individual items and components that contribute to the overall success of a program, there is a category that's just right for your work.

"For 25 years, the IABC/Detroit Renaissance Awards have recognized some of southeast Michigan's finest communicators who have demonstrated outstanding professional skills and set a standard of success in our industry, said Theodore G. Coutilish, president of IABC/Detroit. "Reaching this milestone is a great accomplishment for IABC/Detroit and its members.

The competition is open to IABC members and non-members, who work in the communications, marketing, public relations, and graphic design arenas in southeast Michigan, northwest Ohio and southwest Ontario.

Early bird entries are due by 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2006, and the final deadline is Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Winners will be announced during the awards banquet at the VisTaTech Center in Livonia on Thursday, June 22, 2006. IABC/Detroit is one of the largest chapters of the 13,000-member International Association of Business Communicators, with more than 250 professional communicators.
