IABC/Detroit Invites Business Communicators to Learn Media Relations Strategies During Crisis at April 28 Teleseminar at ArvinMeritor in Troy
Detroit, April 13, 2004
– In media relations, one of the most challenging situations a
business communicator anyone can face is when 60 Minutes or your local investigative news teamI-Team
calls and says, “We’re doing a story about you.” With this in
mind, tThe Detroit chapter of the
International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Detroit) has announced will
host a Wednesday, April 28 professional development teleseminarprogram
featuring
one of North America’s most innovative media strategists.
Participants
will join with IABC members from around the world in focusing
on how to develop media relations strategies during crisis. The one-and-half-hour
teleseminar
will
begin at noon . The “brown
bag” teleseminar will be held at
the offices of ArvinMeritor, 2135 West Maple Road in Troy and is open to
non-members, from noon – 1:30 p.m. The teleseminar
leader, James E. Lukaszewski, ABC, APR, fellow PRSA, considered one
of North America’s most innovative media strategists,
will discussprovide
insight to why the media targets you, organizing a crisis
communication team, keeping your
spokesperson on script, better managingcontrolling the
product of interviews and working with the media.
