IABC/Detroit and PRSA Detroit Present the Changing Face of Public Relations -- PR in a Web 2.0 World

Detroit, Mich., Jan. 16, 2008 - The emergence of social networking sites, blogs, search engine optimization, and a host of other technologies presents a learning curve for those involved in business communications. IABC/Detroit and PRSA Detroit help industry professionals stay ahead of the game with a special program: The Changing Face of Public Relations - PR in a Web 2.0 World. The luncheon session takes place Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown Detroit Courtyard Marriott at 333 E. Jefferson, Detroit (across from the Renaissance Center).

Michael Pranikoff, PR Newswire's director of emerging media, will share his expertise on implementing new media techniques to engage audiences, and discuss how communicators can stay ahead of the evolving online world. This engaging presentation will focus on how communicators can utilize the new technology that drives emerging media and provide a real world case study utilizing those tools - ultimately delivering information needed to incorporate those tools into a communications program. This session is suitable for the novice communications professional as well as those that have been working in social media for a few years.
