IABC/Detroit Celebrates Outstanding Communicators at the 2008 Renaissance Awards Presented by General Motors
June 19 at the VisTaTech Center, Livonia
Detroit, Mich., May 20, 2008 - IABC/Detroit - the region's most diverse organization of communication professionals Ð will celebrate those who finished "in the winner's circle" at the 2008 IABC/Detroit Renaissance Awards, presented by General Motors. This year's celebration takes place Thursday, June 19 at the VisTaTech Center, located on the campus of Schoolcraft College in Livonia.
Industry peers will recognize best practices in communication management, marketing, public relations, writing and art and design. The banquet kicks off with a wine and cheese reception at 5 p.m.
"The Renaissance Awards recognize excellence in the communications profession across a wide spectrum of practice areas," said Debra Salem, IABC/Detroit president. "There are special categories for emerging technologies and social media, in keeping with the rapidly changing face of communications in the 21st century."
IABC/Detroit will present the prestigious Communicator of the Year award to Leah Reynolds of Deloitte LLC for her outstanding contributions to the profession, and to IABC on the local and national levels.
