June 21 at the VisTaTech Center, Livonia

Detroit, Mich., May 23, 2007 - You've chosen your ingredients, mixed them with care, and now its time to enjoy the fruits of your labor as IABC/Detroit celebrates the Òbest of the bestÓ at the 2007 IABC/Detroit Renaissance Awards, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan. This year's celebration takes place Thursday, June 21 at the VisTaTech Center, located on the campus of Schoolcraft College in Livonia.

Join your industry peers in recognition of best practices in communication management, marketing, public relations, writing and art and design. The banquet kicks off with a wine and cheese reception at 5 p.m.

"These awards truly recognize excellence in the profession because they are judged outside of our community, by other IABC chapters who bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the table,Ó said Trevor Loe, IABC/Detroit President. Additionally, we've revamped this year's awards structure to reflect the changes in our industry as we utilize emerging technologies and social media."

IABC/Detroit will present the prestigious Communicator of the Year award to John Finney of Watson Wyatt for his outstanding contributions to the profession, and to IABC on the local, regional and national levels.

Reservations can be made online at iabcdetroit.com via PayPal by clicking here. You need not have a Pay Pal account to make your reservations. Tickets are $55 for IABC members and $70 for nonmembers. Tables of eight may also be reserved.
