IABC/Detroit Announces 2007-2008 Board of Directors

Detroit, Mich. - August 15, 2007 - The Detroit Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, a global network of more than 14,000 communications professionals, recently elected its 2007-2008 board of directors.

The IABC/Detroit membership elected Debra Salem, ASG Renaissance (West Bloomfield), as president; Jim Rink, AAA Michigan (Royal Oak) vice president; Nancy Sarpolis, General Motors (South Lyon) chief financial officer and Jackie McClure, JCI Design (Dearborn), brand manager.

"I am greatly honored to have the opportunity to lead our members and continue the legacy established by my predecessors," said Salem. "One of IABC/Detroit's key attributes is our ability to serve as a platform for networking and professional development. To that end, I am committed to actively engaging our members in chapter activities and creating opportunities for career advancement."
